I picked this coins up with in the last month, and they all happened to be certified by ANACS. I figured it would be fun what everyone thinks they are and how close they are to ANACS. I'll post ANACS's results in a few days. ***Grades are listed bellow at the bottom of the pages*** 1. 1946-S Washington 2. 1951-S/S Washington 3. 1951-D Washington 4. 1877-S Trade dollar Edited by Amazon99 07/07/2007 5:48 pm

LOL Your welcome to close the thread anytime you like . 1946-S MS-63 1951-S AU-58 Slight rub on the cheek and hair,Fingerprint on the obverse ,,Leading edge of the right wing and rim on reverse . 1951-D MS-64 as for the Trade dollar ,, I have very little experiance with these coins ,,so much so I cannot even tell you from looking If it is authentic,, I would have to research it to know . But it appears to be VF-35 details ,,and I agree that there is evidence of a cleaning . Metalman

Metalman, I have a question. What do you mean by this:Leading edge of the right wing and rim on reverse

Looking at the picture of the reverse of the 51-S the right wing leading edge would be the top edge of the wing or the one which would be facing you if the eagle were in flight.
I see some rub there and directly above that from about 12 o clock to to 4 oclock the rim also seems to show some rub .

I must be blind as a bat and I'm definitely one of the most critical when it comes to a cleaning, but what am I missing about the Trade dollar that signifies that it has been cleaned? I'm not thrilled with some of those black tone spots and the gray is a little too even (which might be a strong suggestion of an old cleaning), but is there something else?

Although it is hard to tell from these photos, to me the coin just had that "dull" cleaned look and a little "bright" on the high areas and the field. It just didn't look natural.

The coin actually isn't dull, it's shiny. I'll try to get some better pictures of it tomorrow when the sun's out. Maybe that will help?

I guess "shiny" for a vf-ef is also a sign of cleaning.
