Is that because you don't do ebay or because you can't sell anything?

The fees are high. 12.9% +.3 is expensive, but try going to any flea market and getting as much publicity as ebay has and lower fees.

I make about $50 per month from buying off of ebay and then reselling them to coin collectors.

What do you buy? I would like to get into that, and I have done it a few times, but not much.

The one thing missing for clarification is this gross or net. My definition of net is when all the related expenses are deducted including the initial cost of the coin. I'd like to see a poll for each one. It would be interesting to compare the two. My vote was for gross without any deductions. I do it solely to afford new coins and get rid of one I no longer want. Is it possible to amend your poll since its new and not a day old?

Yeah, I just edited it to be for gross. Were you the one that voted more than 2500?

Not as much as I used too but I think ebay is just saturated with crap now --- not only coins and currency but all the other stuff, too. Buyers have to really work at it to find the better stuff. Using ebay's current search features pulls up totally unrelated stuff for the Buyer to filter out. ebay links to what they "think" the Buyer is looking for. ebay is not near as much fun as it used to be.

I wish I was the one doing $2500. I'm at 0-$50 monthly. It's duplicates or coins I no longer want. Occasionally I will find a good buy I can flip, but it's getting rarer. I do have a friend in eastern Canada that sells rough 100-125 coins monthly. All on auctions he gets $7-$100 per coin. Many times I see his coins going cheap even for graded coins. I'm talking about under issue prices, I wonder if he even breaks even ! He's disabled with chronic pain and does it to keep busy. He really enjoys buying/selling and is a top rated seller. I can't figure out why his auctions are such deals!

I find I get better prices using bins with an offer added. I use the setting to eliminate dealing with low ballers. I seldom get any and the settings make it very efficient. I never can figure out why sellers complain about low ballers, when you can use the settings?
Using bin takes awhile longer, however, you get your price. You can decide what buyers you don't want to sell to by checking the appropriate boxes. This prevents many headaches, as it helps to Pre screen buyers somewhat, same for eliminating bids from countries you don't ship to. I find these aids very helpful.

I also get decent results with the bin and best offer. I prefer not to use the settings because I like to counter offer to the low ballers. It never hurts. Noah, did you choose 2500+?

Take a look at my listings , quite a bit of different stuff. Sometimes I have more valuable things for sale than others. Now isn't one of those times. Check out completed listings.
