Next question...........in 1947 there were 3 denominations the 5 cent,25 cent and the $1 coins that were struck with a dot behind the date,please explain how the dots got there.

It was supposed to be a maple leaf, but then the fall came, and then the winter, and all that remained is the dot  ...but seriously, I'm having a lot of fun. Thanks for the good thread!
