http://www.ebay.com/itm/141144252191They do things like this where they put the image on the coin, and people get sucked into buying it because it looks so authentic, especially at a glance. This is just a coloured coin, however, no glass. Sad part is that this one has a bid. There's a site called alibaba - a Chinese wholesale - and aliexpress - same thing - and they are selling stuff like this in bulk. It's disgraceful and I feel sorry for anyone who falls for it.

It says gold plated. Maybe it's an original coin and they just put some gold as the original is just silver.

I am not sure why someone would want a fake anyways. As mentioned before I would like to ask for the COA and all mint packaging and see what kind of excuse they come up with then!

I think people buy the plated fakes thinking it was added after market, like some people gold plate pennies to sell. When I first saw the plated robin/duck it's what I thought until I discovered the site selling them wholesale. Yes I strongly agree, as collectors we need to band together for protection. Especially since the mint is reluctant to help. I wonder when the fake superman coins will start appearing?

The only reason to buy fakes is to resell them for a profit, again contact the RCM until they act nothing will ever change in this important issue.
