I found these three repunched dates on 5 øre coins from Norway. In all 3 cases, only one digit is visibly doubled, which suggests to me that each digit is punched independently (the first two are present on the hub).

Norway 5 øre 1938:

Norway 5 øre 1940:

Norway 5 øre 1941--more subtle, but it's there:

Some screamin' RPDs! I love those numerals not requiring magnification. Good eye.

Thanks--I guess it does take an obsession to find these, although that 1940 is pretty dramatic.

Yes--after WWI, the prevalance of RPDs and overdates increases dramatically--based on sources from Norway. This is the opposite of the situation with Sweden, where overdates taper off at 1916. I have not seen hubs and dies from Sweden's mint and I'm unsure when they began dated hubs. I can only guess their die-making and dating procedures were different than Norway's in the early 20th C.
