To have as much of a legend as this coin does is exceptional for this coin type. I would grade this at EF.

I actually think it has mint luster on it! It has a bit of a cartwheel effect on it! I also want to hear some other users chime in with their coins.

Interesting coin to grade. On this coin we have to depart from the established guide lines which apply mostly to classical coinage. In this case specific knowledge is needed on this coin type. All the Alchon Hunnic coins of this type I've seen are in this condition. This one is even just a little better than most. Knowing the type I would grade this coin As Struck.

This is a beautiful little coin. The details of which I would say are EF, but there is some spots of BD that IMO will cause the grade to drop a bit to VF+.

Yay! I thought it was probably vf. The green is rock solid so not active bd, but something I will keep an eye on.

OK so how about my owl? It doesn't show the crest of the helmet, so it is not right up there with the big boys. The owl does not sit in a full square. It doesn't have any test cuts and it does have a couple of cracks on the sides.

Other than the scratch on the reverse which isn't bad. I love this coin and I would grade it at VF+.

Pish Owl- Wear on the high points, well centered small scratch and a minor deposit in one of the flan cracks, no problem calling this a solid VF.
Ski- Off center, flatness on the obverse 60% obverse legend, approx. 50% reverse legend, reverse wear.I would grade F!
