I just received this 1851 Large Cent and broke it out of a PCGS AU50 holder. I spent a couple of hours with my Grellman book trying to determine which of the 45 varieties identify this coin. As we've discussed before - these late date cents are difficult to attribute but I thought an AU50 coin might not be too difficult.

I think it's an N-6 variety but would appreciate some help.
Obverse
1. Date alignment seems to match N6 but also many others
2. Lines to the left of the face
3. First 1 appears to be repunched and late die state has a blurry date

Reverse
1. All I have here is a light die clash coming out of the left side of the "O" in ONE.

Oops - forgot the pictures

I would not be able to assist, but others might be able to help if you had some pics.

Let's see it!

Here is the NGC VarietyPlus link for some assistance;

N-2 and N-6 has the clash comining out of the left of O in ONE and the date is closer to the bust than N-2...IMO.

Appears to be an N-6c, possibly 6b. I'd have to have in hand to know for sure. If the re-punching at date is still visible it's 6b, if not it's 6c.
