That's really impressive. I was looking at starting a 7140 but the premiums on the high-end silver coins really scared me away from even starting with mediocre finds, lololol. After seeing some of the prices I got the impression that there is demand for silver Washington quarters and I'm thinking the recent offerings will more than likely appreciate in time so I just buy'em from the mint with the 5oz ATBs and call it a day. If you had to do it all over again from scratch today would you prefer pcgs or ngc over one another for any reason? Would you say the grading by either company is so close on Washingtons that it wouldn't matter? Congratulations, that's a awesome set.

What an impressive accomplishment. Gorgeous high end set! Not Really much to upgrade except maybe the 35s to MS and the keys...Congrats Jon! Perhaps time to think about the next challenge?

WOW! Something to really brag about. All in slabs no doubt. Ever think about breaking them all out to put in an Album?

Working on the 35-S right now. https://goccf.com/t/165558&whichpage=1Funny, but the keys are easy. They are falling out of trees. EVERYBODY has a 32-d or 32s for sale. All it takes is money. Yawn. The semi keys were the most fun. Like the 36-D and the 40-D. Anyhoo, great fun. Investment value is minimal. Will probably never get out of them what I put into them. That will fall to my kids I am sure.

Carl, Not much chance of that. I see more value keeping them slabbed, knowing the liquidity is much higher. I had all of my collection in albums for many years, but I personally see more value in a certified set. Drinking the kool-aid. Reality though is that In my upgrading endeavours, I find that when I need to sell, that a certified piece is worth somewhere around trends. Raw is about half that. Sorry, I didn't make the rules . . . . .

That is a wonderful set Jon. The 51S had to be worth a a good chunk of change with two obverses. Your 58P is hands down my favorite just because of all that blue. I bet that looks incredible in hand.

Very fine accomplishment, and only took 45 years. You've amassed a set of beautiful quarters in very nice grades, I'm envious.

Got the 58-P fixed. It was getting late last night. Uploading all those pics will make you go blind! My favorite is the 34-D. I have an angled shot that picks up the color a bit better than the album shot.

Jason Jason!! Hey! Good to see you! Yep, there should be five or six familiar pieces in there. I love every one of them!! This is kinda cool. You have visitation rights . . . . heh heh. Feel free to visit them at any time, I am sure they will be there until I croak over. Jon
