I just became a PCGS member and have 8 free grading submissions. I have a few coins I want to have graded, but what is the recommendation of the forum members as to what kind of coins one should have graded? Minimum value or whatever.

Thanks

Without seeing pictures I have to say your most valuable ones. Can you post pictures or at least tell us what your options are.

O ya, as minimum value I would say probably around the $150-$200 range but you will see a lot of people stabbing stuff that is worth less then the cost of the slab.

I would slab following:
1) key date coins
2) coins that have a lot of forgeries
3) coins with valuable varieties - VAM, etc
4) gold coins
5) coins with huge price swings based on their grading

No offense, but if you aren't sure what to have graded, why did you join PCGS?

Thanks for the advice. As for why, I have several options, just wanted to know what to use my freebies for. Why is there always someone with a bad attitude on forums? I thought these things were for help and sharing.
Thanks again.
