TPG trashing a coin one time then put PCGS as a basement slabber too because they have done the same. No different
Ive never seen PCGS try and clean the toning off a coin, I have seen ANACS do that. As I said theres a reason why the market has them as a 2nd rate company and the gap is growing.
The old white holders their reputation was built off of, thats not them anymore. Once the company was sold last time around they hired all the ICG graders and moved to Colorado.

You are all doing that because of your prejudice against ANACS.
Ive been critical of the APPEARANCE of their HSN relationship long before I lost all respect for their yellow slabs. ANACS modern coins have exactly one market which is HSN. They could just let HSN grade the coins themselves and put in it their holders and it really doesn't matter in all honesty, their premiums are miniscule.
Hence I said the APPEARANCE comes from it. The big difference between them and PCGS and NGC relationship is how many of those relationships exists. PCGS and NGC have countless places preselling their stuff, which means no one has leverage. Of course big submitters get special rates and their stuff skips the waiting line ect, but if one of them threatened to stop because the didnt like the grading it wouldnt matter to PCGS or NGC.
ANACS on the other hand has exactly 1 place I know of that bothers to even sell their modern coins which is HSN. A single relationship like that gives HSN a lot of leverage which gives the APPEARANCE to a lot of people that the check book is dictating grades.
It does look bad to only have one place selling your moderns much less preselling, in the end though it honestly doesn't matter with such a barren market for them.
