1796NoPole, I've seen that one on ebay before. The seller has been trying to sell that minor Struck Through Grease error for a couple years. It's not worth that amount of money. Maybe a couple of dollars at best. He completely wasted his money, getting it slabbed by a TPG!  Errers and Varietys.

It's been up for several years?! How does he not get the point by now?!
By the way, it looks like that moon-nickel on page 1 (!!) is somehow still up. Been almost 5 years since it appeared here. Just what... that one isn't even expensive...

Yep. To be honest, I don't know why he hasn't got the point now, but it's ridiculous. That's pretty funny, that the acid dipped "moon crater" Nickel is still up. I'm surprised that the seller hasn't given up yet.

Here's another gem. The seller even went through the trouble of also getting this spender certified. Doesn't bother to mention however that PCGS didn't certify it as an error... 222817606746Btw, scrolling through this thread's history - why are so many of the posted coins authentic, correctly described, fairly (often generously) priced, often key-date, but just ugly and heavily damaged coins? Those don't come anywhere near either the worst actual coins or worst coin listings on ebay, whereas these hilarious moon-money British pocket change and PMD "error" listings fit both bills. Why do we think a corroded-out but cheap S-VDB constitutes a "worst of the worst" coin? |

What makes you think this topic is about the "worst of the worst"? The original poster did not define any requirements for what should be considered "worst". In fact, the original post implies they only have to be just not "nice". |

...I know you probably didn't mean it that way, but that's a little aggressive-sounding for a reply to a new member just asking questions. But I'll stop asking and just play along with the fun. Anyways, most of the stuff in this guy's store falls within one or another of the purviews of this thread. Silly pricing (these look like they were generated by an algorithm), damage that puts the moon-crater nickel to shame, and culls, culls, culls. Especially the early series coins and key-dates in particular; some of those large cents are nasty, and at one time he had like 10 1886 nickels that all looked like the 2 culls he has now. He's the epitome of everything that makes this thread so funny, and the most incredible part is that there's just so much of it here. https://www.ebay.com/str/Stockmania...rt=nc&_oac=1He is the mother of all junk purveyors, but I'd keep one eye open toward him if you're of a cherrypicking bent. He goes through so much garbage that he sometimes doesn't bother to check each coin out fully. And with this many culls, it's pretty easy to miss something important; I scored a bonanza off him once. Not for the faint of heart, but if you don't mind horrendous culls, you can probably land a steal from him eventually. |

WOW, them's sure are purtty! I may be wrong but there are only 2 main wineries on Put-in-Bay - the Put-in-Bay Winery and the Heineman Winery. Which one is his Dad's -  |

Here we have a FIVE CENT Buffalo nickel THREE LEGS RARE RARE RARE. Yep, a blurry pic, badly worn 1920 Philadelphia Canadian limping Buffalo, for only C$999 (about $760 US). [sarcasm]To be clear, ALL buffalo have three legs. Most, naturally, have four, but all have at least three. (A two-legged buffalo would be certainly entertaining in the wind or on a hillside.)[/sarcasm] The pics alone sure convince me to spend a mortgage payment for this.  These are the pics exactly as the seller uploaded them. I didn't want to orient them correctly, crop them correctly, or sharpen them.
