This one really takes the cake!

1996D BRONZE Roosevelt dime with Die Clash

Despite having the same weight as a normal minted Roosevelt dime it's "Bronze". Looks like a good example of Environment Exposure.

That dime looks cool. Not $255 cool, but "I would not buy one but I would keep it for myself if I found it in change" cool.

According to this listing the 3RD Most Rare Peace dollar is the 34-S. LOL

I guess they forgot to include the 21(P), 27-S, 34(P) into the list.

It's needed for your Peace dollar collection: of course, unless you have one already.

They were counting from zero, I guess.

Since ebay had done away with charging a fee to create a listing, the numismatics listings have become flooded with absolute garbage coins. Not sure if the listings are scammers, due to lack of knowledge or research, copycat listings, or a combination of each....but I really find it hard wading through all the garbage listings before finding what I have actually searched for.

Why does ebay allow these listings with blantent false or misleading descriptions of coins? If an item was in another category with a completely false description, the listing would be removed rather quickly. Trying to sell in this category by actual sellers or dealers must now be rather difficult.

This seller....williwaltol really takes the cake among these garbage sellers that are praying on the novice beginner collectors or people that have no numismatics knowledge that are looking for a unique gift to give an actual collector.

This seller knows he/she is being dishonest with descriptions and values, but does not care. It really takes a lot of integrity to be this dishonest.

Take a look at the large amount of "Very Rare" and "Error" listings....one of my favorites is the 1980 " Close AM" Lincoln Cent.

Those listings... what a joke.
It's one thing seeing damaged coins that might have a little bit of value, and it's another when you see completely worthless stuff that supposedly has some kind of "error" that can only be seen on an Ayahuasca trance.

Here's a link to that locked topic for "Post The Most Worn Coin You Have!" http://goccf.com/t/92622 I posted my 1887-S Seated Liberty dime there. If you want look at some really poor-quality coins, take a look.

That isn't the thread I was talking about. The thread I was talking about was like 40 pages, and that one isn't locked.
Did a bit of digging, and found it: http://goccf.com/t/284217

It truly gets under my skin when coming across these very blatant PMD coins the seller claims to be "Errors".

Many years ago, my grandparents would give me coins as gifts for birthday, Christmas and so on. Not having any involvement in numismatics, they had no idea of what was or wasn't "Rare" or an "Error". Being the very trusting, very church going couple, they oftentimes would take the word of anyone as truthful until they had a reason not to. Many times the gift coins I had received from my grandparents were damaged coins from a seller that told them the coins were "Rare Errors". It had gotten to a point that I told my grandparents to only purchase from the US Mint or the very large (largest in State) coin/precious metals shop that is nearby if they wish to buy coin gifts. My grandfather was a stickler for keeping/printing receipts, one of which I came across that was for the purchase of the "Rare Error" 1987 Washington quarter for $35, my grandparents had given to me as a gift the month before, which was nothing but a "Road rash" coin. I was able to research the seller ( Etsy), and found his full name, address and other interesting information involving law enforcement. I was successful on recovering the $35 and put the cash in the "Junk Drawer" of my grandparents kitchen, where they would eventually find it....never telling them what I had done.

I understand selling an odd looking coin, but many of these sellers purposely create these garbage coin listings to prey on people like my grandparents....it takes a lot of integrity to be such a scum bag.

I found another garbage coin seller. After looking over the well over 100 coin listings from this seller, I'm almost 100% positive every coin listed is damaged, and not any sort of error as claimed.

How about this treasure? The weight is appropriate for a clad, and I pointed out to the seller that it could just be plated. If real, it's worth in the high 4 figures, so I told him to send it off to a TPG and realize its full value upon sale. Next thing that happened is he made an offer to me at $874, which I respectfully declined.

They say that's from having been struck through a smaller coin. And one picture shows it next to a paper clip so you can see how big a quarter is.
