Regarding the rolls of steel cents I think it should be noted that, as far as I can tell, that is a completely legitimate auction. The seller said exactly what he was selling, even said they were rusty, and put them up for auction. Nothing wrong with that. If people are silly enough to bid it up to $41, so be it. It was up to them and they chose to spend that much money with no trickery involved. The only reason anyone puts items up for auction anywhere is the hope that they can get more for it in a competitive bidding scenario than in a fixed price one.

If so many of the steel cents had not been corroded, I likely would've bid on that auction and then used the cents in elongated rolling machines. But who wants rusty elongateds, right?

Nothing at all wrong with those steel cents... 8 cents a piece for these coins with signs of rust and/or corrosion is very fair.
