I am amazed that I just found a well-worn 1909 Lincoln in a customer wrapped roll just obtained from a local bank. It was only in Fair to AG condition, and only 190_ are visible in the date. It is way too worn to tell if it was a VDB or not. This would be the oldest coin of any denomination I have ever found since I started CRH-ing. However, out of the 20 rolls obtained from this bank, only 3 wheaties were found, but there was a good mix of pre-1982 copper.
This is my first attempt to attach photos (I hope this works). They were only taken from my cellphone so the quality is not great. As you can see, the reverse is too worn to see any VDB if it existed. Thanks.
