How is advised as the best place to sell? bullion by post? ebay? Obviously I would assume ebay will be the best price by after fees I'm not so sure? Ideally I guess it would be best to find someone who wants to buy one direct but don't know where I could sort that? Any advice appreciated Thanks

Go back in time to when gold was $1600+ a few months back, it's now around $1200, sorry not sure what the gold/GBP is but you see the ratio, it changes all the time but that is just the melt value, condition and age has a lot to do with it, Try LCS for a quote but don't sell until you are sure about it.

ebay will get you the best results I guess and Britannia's are very popular there too.

If you have a local coin store it wouldnt hurt to ask what theyd buy it for. Usually you can do better on ebay just selling it yourself but it never hurts to shop it around.

Wait for a coin show and look for people buying gold weather they're dealers or people attending the show, you'll probably find one.

I'd wait for gold to back up a bit before selling. ebay and Paypal will roughly take 13-15% in fees.

ebay is 10% of the final selling price + a 2.9% plus 30 cent fee by PP on the transfer of the money. So, your bottom line commission on ebay is about 13%. If you have an ebay store, or are a TRS, the ebay fee would be a little bit less. I'd recommend going to a local coin shop or broker in your area. It's not rocket science and you'd have your money in hand faster and safer.

Before selling on ebay, know that there is a strict buyer protection that may end up with a fraud. When sending gold, use registered mail that requires a signature of the buyer. However, in rare cases, ebay and/or paypal might not accept this signature as a proof of delivery! Sad but true. This will depend on your shipping provider. Use one with reliable tracking information and always seek for wet signature of the buyer. Alternatively, you can sell your gold in a local store or in a cryptocoin market - several bitcoin forums. Cryptocoin markets solely protect sellers. However you will need a reputation in those communities so your best deal would be a cryptocoin escrow service. Since you are the seller of the product, buyer should be responsible for the escrow fees. If our newly established gold store reached a sufficient amount of orders, I would purchase your gold.

Yes, but then you'll be left with useless bitcoins and good luck converting them to anything useful.
