Picked this one up. It won't live in the NGC slab very long, but before I break it out, I took some photos.

I'll post the grade tomorrow. There is a small carbon spot on the reverse.

These images are very large. Sorry the reverse is still a little blurry.

I like the coin a lot.

66?

Just out of curiosity, why are you taking it out of the slab?

You Beauty

Shame about the scratches on the plastic, nice images, or I may not have seen the scratches. I'm still working on grading so I'll give this one a shot.

do I hear a 67... ohhh I just saw the spot on the D yeah I'd think about opening it but then probably would not, I say leave it be. and I'll drop to 62-63 for my guess.

Nice coin!

The surfaces look very clean and the badger appears to be free of distracting marks. I would venture an estimate of MS-65 but wouldn't be all that surprised to find that NGC graded it MS-66.

It's leaving the slab to join the rest of my commemorative collection in their album. I'm not universally opposed to slabs, and if I had bought this as an investment or to resell, I'd definitely keep it slabbed.

Here's the grade from NGC:

MS-65 The fields on this coin are beautiful, and are part of what draws me to the classic silver commems -- they appear sculpted. They are not perfectly smooth as with most of our circulating coins.

Late alas to this thread ... excellent coin indeed ...

I was going to venture NCG MS65/66 ... appears that you displayed the grade ahead of my opportunity to do so.

Best of wishes with wherever your classic silver commemorative set takes you.
