The last couple weeks I've been outside working in the mornings.
Cold winter weather and it gets dark really early. I've been staying in evenings and finally labelling and grading all my coins. Going through binders of coins stapling 2x2's finding some coins that I'd like to find nicer ones.
Having everything labeled correctly was my main goal. If anything happens to me there aren't any people in my life that would know what anything was.

Cancelled a numismatic trip to the City just recently, because the max. temperature was forecast at 108 deg.F.
Southern Australia went through a heat wave at the same time that the U.S. and Canada suffered Polar Vortex weather conditions.
What was that about Global warming?

You can almost bet that if there is unseasonably cold weather in one region of the World, that it is simultaneously balanced by unseasonably hot weather in some other region.

My part of Canada isn't suffering anything! All that "polar vortex" weather is in the prairies all the time... so while the big scary vortex is out touring foreign lands, it's been unseasonably warm here... sometimes even above 0 Celsius.

My coins were inaccessible for months after a hurricane. Actually, the flood almost got them. They were in a high enough box, but others were less fortunate. But snow here is rare.

WOW has it ever effected me now. AND why does it happen on weekends. Every weekend it snows. Then slowly gets warmer and by the time it's time for a coin show, POOF, more snow.

I spend more time reading books and browsing the internet looking at coins I'd love to buy but can't afford to.

By this time next year I hope to have even more books in my reference library.

I live in California and we are having a huge drought. We cannot get any precipitation at all out here while the rest of the country in freezing and covered with snow.

There has been a recent bump in ebay activity. I have had shipping problems. Several lost packages. Many delayed.

The weather is affecting something for most around the country I guess.

Weather cancelled work today, a snow day, so I shopped on ebay, and actually won two very nice sets are great prices. I got a legacy set and a premiere proof set. And, work is already cancelled for tomorrow, so I have added things to my watch list. Sometimes, weather affects coin collecting in a positive way.

Oh, I did get to interact on coincollectingcommunity more than I would have if I had to wait for work to end.

Like hesgut, I'm in California where we are in a severe drought, no rain for years.
Has not slowed me down one bit cause I rarely travel to my LCS.
Almost all my purchases are online or shows.

BUT you can still get to coin shows. Or even a coin store. And by me many can't even get out of their garages to go shopping for food. I'm really getting ticked off about this lousy weather. AND worse of all the Weather people that are wrong, wrong, WRONG almost all the time.
A dealer has a certain coin for me and I just can't get to a coin show where he's at to pick it up. Today may be the first time I can even get to a store. AND it's supposed to snow again today.
IF you want some of this Weather in California, I'd be glad to pay to have it shipped to you.
Did you hear about that massive accidents on our highways. One contained over 40 cars and several deaths. All due to this Weather.

Finally it's snowed here again! It had been 5+ which was uncanny and wet, then dropped to -10... and now we have a new coat of snow to cover up the refrozen puddles.

So how cold is it in the USA? Is it true that you haven't got power outlets in every parking lot for cars' block heaters?
