Does anyone know, approximately when the last time a 1995 DDO was found in the wild? I am very curious if this was ever found in pocket change the last 50 years. Thanks *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Quote: 19 *55* or 19 *95*? I too got comfused with the topic then the statement. Main topic was 1955. Then the question was a 1995. Also, note a reply was for 1969S. This may end up as post about every Doubled Die in existance. And too the main topic is double. Hate to be one of those that corrects terminology but it is fun. It is Doubled, not double. Oddly enough though I haven't heard of to many people finding any Doubled Dies lately in change. Some have been mentioned in roll searching, but just not in normal, everyday change that I know of.

Quote:I think to top POP 1969S DDO was found not that long ago in a solid roll sold on ebay. I saw also several months back where a 1955 double die was found in a solid ebay roll.

Wow, I am surprised that one can still find them in CRH! I figured most of the 1955s were taken out of circulation years ago.
Thank for the replies. I guess I will keep my hopes up.

Just because one good hit comes from ebay doesn't negate the thousands of ebay scams that have happened. Its like anything else; one hits the lottery while others wish they had. I have done my fair share of ebay experiments and lets just say there are a lot more twisted sales out there than purely legitimate sales. I avoid the ebay site and buy from trusted sellers in other locations. ebay, like many other companies out there are in it for the bottom line. Money. Its what drives the business. If the parties involved can be appeased without any significant loss to ebay, then their job is, errrr, done? profit made, onto the next "satisfied" customer. For those who like to search the ebay for deals, good luck. Hope you hit the Big One, whatever that may be.
