Here is a well circulated 1917 Type 1 SLQ (Raw)
Pics are a little rough, away from my setup.

Care to grade this one?
Opinions appreciated. Thanks!

Still working on the grading numbers but I'd have to say of the 4 shown yours is the best, beautiful patina shows off that the high spots are not badly worn, half of my SLQ have no dates and the rest are worn thin from use. Are the dot's and dashes around the rim of the obverse Morse Code, or just the style of the time? It looks like just . . -, anyone know Morse?
15+ just a guess

A solid F-15. I think the wear on the top of the date would keep it out of VF-20. I love the circulation cameo look.

Everything but the rub on the date is better than F15. Would just that rub hold it back ? Just curious. I did notice that when I blew the pic up it had hairline scratches on the obverse. Not sure what that's from.

Easily an F-15 but not quite a VF-20

Appreciate the input. Was thinking F12 myself.

There is a scuff over "We Trvst", other than that honest wear.
Camera is enhancing hairlines a little not visible without a loupe.

Will try to get better pics later, thanks much!

Yes, I do. The beads and dashes are just decorative and spell nothing.
Rest in Peace

I think it has VF-20 detail, but the scuffs and scratches on the reverse might hold it back to F-15. Definitely better than a 12 no question.
