I am receiving coins from a collections I signed up to, here is the Silver Dollar I received the other day in the mail.

New-Silver-Dollar-From-The-Royal-Canadian-Mint

You can see on the right side of the coin, in the metal is looks burnt , its only on the one front side. the reverse looks perfect.

Should I send it back or will it eventually be worth more money ? I'm not sure if I should send it back for a mint looking coin ?

to the community and very nice

It's a Mexican Libertad, while under appreciated by collectors, I think it is one of the most beautiful bullion coins out there. I have a Dansco album 1982-2013 of them and am currently building a high grade set.

Since toning is a natural process of silver, it is normal and not likely a grounds for return.

Looks like you will be overpaying for some coins and getting a deal on others. Add in the box, coa's and the watch, it will be a beautiful set to display, but not as cheap as you could get the coins individually from a bullion dealer.

and . The Libertad is a very beautiful coin in proof and UNC versions. I have a 1/2oz proof (2010), 1oz UNC (2011), and a 5oz UNC (2013). The 1oz UNC has a small toning dot just below the date. I use silica gel desiccant in my storage to reduce any humidity and minimize toning.

welcome.
I say return it and get a better condition one, it is easier to resell it when its clean.
that's my personal opinion.
