A friend sent me a message today. At the Fun Show
(Orlando Florida coin show)
there is a 1561 Elizabeth I three pence coin.

Right now they are asking around $100 USD.

Any opinions on what this coin is worth or what to watch out for, would be welcome.

I might get better pictures tomorrow, but this is all I have right now.

Look at ebay.com. You can buy much, much better at that price.
A recent finished sale:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ELIZABETH-I...047675.l2557

I have edited this twice, but it will not allow me to put ebay dot co dot uk. Each time it defaults to dot com. Why?

I wouldn't pay more than $50.
But there again I wouldn't want it as an example personally.

The ebay item number will get you there irrespective of which national site it was listed, doesn't necessarilly mean the seller will post to your address though. I get frustrated by sellers on ebay . fr that won't post to the UK

Edit - you are right Alan, I cant post ebay dot fr - goes to ebay.com

As others have said, it was overpriced.

And yes, the forum software seems to default to .com unless you type ebay .co . uk, which is not helpful in links!

Maybe an Admin could look into whether this feature, which I am sure was originally intended to be helpful, is really necessary?
