Woohoo! A friend had two bags of unsearched pennies, $25 in each bag that were saved over years and destined for the bank. I managed to save them from tht fate and starting to look through them now! I'm looking for 47-49, 55, 57,60-64, 65, 71 and 85's. Does anyone want to add to that list? I've been off them forum for a while!

Bags-Of-Pennies!

Thanks,
Steve

I keep any before 1970 but at least keep any in the 50s and back. Some people keep the copper but I don't usually bother with that. (Copper is anything pre 1997). Also look at coinsandcanada.com to see different varieties for each year. Also I would take extra time to check all of the 2006's you come across as there are many different varieties for this year and a few of witch are quite valuable.

EDIT: O ya make sure you have a magnet and good luck.

When I saw that, I was not going to follow that link, as who wants to read a story about Erectile Dysfunction?

Then I got curious and read an interesting coin story. Maybe we should change his name from ED to Ed (or maybe just leave it)

Good luck in your search. What fun! Hope you come across a 2006 magnetic with no P and logo.

I keep anything 1965 and earlier along with 1967. I also keep any errors and high condition copper cents and look closely at the 85's and 2006's.

Now that they've stop minting Pennies, I pretty much keep all that I find. They cost me nothing and I've already got a large barrel that's half full!

LOL Torgemco. I am almost through the first bag, my right hand is falling asleep, my neck and back hurt and I'm starting to drop a few, but still going!

OK you got me digging through my Canadian cents with a magnet and I found one that is magnetic, a 2003. I'm betting noting special but thought I'd ask. Also are there any key dates to watch out for or do we have to wait for the mint to get done destroying them to pick up the pieces and figure out what's left?
