I took a chance with this one on ebay.Paid $8.00 shipping included.I could not tell from the sellers pictures if it was genuine or not. I Received it today in the mail and from the moment I saw it,I was disappointed.I see no blaksley effect on either side.I see no metal flow lines directed towards the clip. I see no weakness in any of the other devices. Maybe one of you guys might see something I over looked or have I nailed it as a fake.I'll be happy if someone tells me diff

Rim is un-plated. Cut after the coin was struck. PMD

Thanks pyrbob & coop.I'm going to keep it in a 2x2 flip titled as a fake clip for education. Lesson learned do not buy coins without GOOD CLEAR pictures of the obverse and reverse

The seller was a young girl with limited knowledge on errors. She made a mistake.I was the second feedback she ever received. I left neutral feedback pointing out to future buyers she does not have a lot of experience with errors. Now if it had been an established seller with higher feed back and experience then yes I would have done what you pointed out plus open a case. Right now there is nothing listed for sale
