hi I recently bought this for $10 and am waiting for it to arrive , it looks to be e over f variety ,,,whats the approximate value thanks

Definitely an E/F.
No way to determine a value, there's not much demand for these,it'll be a matter of finding how much a buyer who's interested is willing to pay.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

CCN shows $30 for New Brunswick 1864 One Cent in EF-40 (Short 6) and $45 for long 6. I'm affraid I can't tell which this one is.

Obverse should be REG:F:G: This one is REG:E:G.
It is a short 6 reverse

They have been trying to get those high prices for some time now realistically I think anywhere from $250.00 - $500.00 you will have a better chance of selling it

It's a good variety, but not in an extremely popular series, so buyers for them don't grow on trees. I'm inclined to agree with papeldog's estimate.

I have two NB cents a 1864 and 1865, they dont say much about them. I guess I should dig them out and look at them, maybe something good been stashed for awhile

Sorry to say Garys but NB did not issue cents in 1865, the only province to issue an 1865 cent is newfoundland.

My apologies for guessing so I looked them up and no 65

1864 in VF cond and not an e/f
1861 in AU with some luster
