2012 Proof Set, Why So High $ - Coin Community Forum

I see them trending $80 for clad. Why so high? I usually wait a few years and buy them below list price, but not sure that will be the case here. Report this Post to the Staff

basebal21 Bedrock of the Community 13014 Posts	Posted 01/13/2014 3:32 pm Their sales were cut short with no notice giving them a lower mintage than usual. The sales being cut off and the lower mintage increased demand as well. The price has been coming down though from where it was when it was first cut off so you may be able to get it cheaper in the future but it will probably always have some premium.
