This looks like a repost, and it sort of is - this picture being postedon the UK board for the silver coin which is from Cromwell's Commonwealth. This post is for the romans.

Just a small batch of alright roman coins. Nothing special, probably candidates for my uncleaned pile. Roughly £9 for the lot.

The legend top center is barely legible. Looks like an A X something something. But the bust appears to be female to me. Could be my old eye balls playing tricks !

Can you play with the contrast at all ? The photo is in need of some help. Maybe even B&W would improve it some.

Very nice lot. There were 4 romans, two hoard folles of Maximian (SOLI INVICTVS) from London mint (im getting in touch with the detectorist to get them to try and dig up the main bulk of it), a nice Valentinian and a very find barbarous GLORIA EXERCITVS. The other two coins were the Commonwealth Groat and a nice surprise, a 17th century Merchant halfpenny. Difficult to read, but it says GEORGE BROWN CHAPMAN (BGA), IN WENDOVER + HIS HALF PENY.
