Struck Through Grease Error? - Coin Community Forum

CoinCbass Pillar of the Community United States 1217 Posts	Posted 01/14/2014 05:52 am Just found this morning - Appears to be a fairly major struck through. Lincolns bust is weak across the entire obverse. "IN" is also weak. Most of the other letters are a little mushy. Reverse has Epluribus Unum mostly missing/weak. The one thing that is wierd is that there seems to be a minor sheen to this coin. It also has a "grainy" look. I think its a struck through that maybe had some oil or something else on it after it has been in the wild. THANKS!! Report this Post to the Staff

I would weigh it but I kinda agree with Dollarman...The rim has the same porous marks which lead me to believe it is damage. But I am not 100% certain. Report this Post to the Staff
