Still working on upgrading my mercury set. On a previous post, I complained about the grossly inflated prices for fb mercs. They are still inflated, but I got a good price on the 1941D and 1937, but I got the best deal in a long time on the 1919. I ended up paying $300 under the NGC listed value. I guess if you hang around long enough one falls in your hands occassionally.
"FB" to my mind is a better description than "FSB" Fully Split Bands does not automatically imply that all of the bands, diagonal as well as transverse, must be rounded (humped in cross section), as well as split.
They must be fully struck up, AS WELL as having no wear.
