I ordered large flat rate boxes online and got apo fpo. Can you ship an apo fpo box with a large flat rate label to somewhere that is not a military destination?

I think it's also used for other Government jobs, I send my sister stuff for her kids occasionally to Embassies around the globe. I have used whatever address she tells me, but I recall APO/FPO on them before, lately it's been all DPO address. I've sent in a flat rate priority box, she always got the package.

APO = Army Post Office
FPO = Fleet Post Office

I have not heard about DPO (Diplomatic Post Office?)

USPS does deliver to APO/FPO sometumes with a discounted Priority Rate.

If you ship a package in a APO/FPO boxes, and it does not have an APO/FPO address, those idfentifing marks will be marked out by the USPS, it happened to me once.

So I can ship in them just like they are a large flat rate, just mark out the apo fpo if they aren't going to an apo or fpo address?
