Here's is the auction I won. So the coin should look like this--OK wear and patina: Instead, I get this--obviously buried, corroded, and scrubbed down to bare metal! But it gets better--the seller took the photos from this auction.Obviously, the money is nothing--it's that someone wasted so much of my time.

I wouldn't normally quibble over $3 but this is deliberate deception. Filing a SNAD claim? You might get ebay to come down on the seller, which in this case would be a good thing.

Yes, it's more on the principle of the thing. I have never filed a SNAD before--is there an easy shortcut? I certainly don't want to draw this one out much more.

technically he never said it was the exact coin you'd receive in the pics you were bidding on, cant he use that as an excuse?

No, he's violating ebay rules.

PawnS--interesting, the seller has done it again! In my case, they're not getting nice feedback. You know it wouldn't be so bad if the sellers coin was a similar grade, but that's not the case with my coin.

Yeah--what bugs me most is the bait-and-switch using other's pictures--despite that "100%" rating. I may just have to do something about that--I don't care about the refund anymore.

I was willing to chalk this up to some kind of seller error--until I noticed they swiped a photo from another auction. Now it's going on their ratings.
