I decided not to buy the coin. It ended up being sold to someone else for $1200, I offered $1000 and took a shot, but there was no wy I was going to risk more than that.

I still think the coin has already been body bagged at least once and the Seller was just trying to recoup his investment.

The general rule is if it's a valuable, good looking coin that has upside potential it WILL be sent in for grading before it's even offered for sale. Dealers do not like leaving money on the table.
