There is a set of PF70 Gold eagles, all years, all denominations for sale up to and including 2013. If someone had the cash to do it what would it be worth? Asking price is $187,000!!!

About $64k in gold for $187k? Chances are this is an ANACS or NGC certified set and not worth it.

set is for sale at a company called RPMEX and as stated 3x melt seems way high even for proofs. Guess the put a high value in it being a complete set and ready to go...and yes NGC all brown label

Oh, boy. A huge premium for PF70's from an issue where "perfection" is the expectation, not the exception.

I see MS70 Eagles and Buffaloes all the time at auctions. Time after time they go for little over spot. I always think that if I only had funds, why would anyone buy a raw buffalo when they could have an MS70 for little more.

Like Dave said, the AGE and Buffalo series, are series' where MS70 is the expected, not the premium.

honestly I'd rather have the NGC ones vs PCGS....yes I know PCGS ones sell for more but I've seen PCGS develop spots and all.......good example my friend had the complete buffalo set in PCGS 70DCAM and NGC 70DCAM....the PCGS ones spotted....he lost a lot of $$$
