Just found this coin and noticed it had almost everything on it twice. Face, Hair, Earring, Letters and Date, Water Line on side, trees, loon back of head.... Can someone tell me if it is a DD or shift or both, and how common they are with that much on it?

Here's a few pictures.

I have found 5 of these so far. Mine all have the doubling on the OBV and not the REV. Each of mine is different from the next. It has been suggested that it is Hub Doubling. I like them and I always check my 2012's for it. Your OBV looks like Hub Doubling. The REV...not sure. May be MDD.

Hub doubling produces identical coins, not similar coins.
Does the RCM not use modern methods by which the die is sunk in a single step?
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Here is a link to a photobucket album of pictures I had taken for one of the coins.

Is it possible that there were multiple dies with different doubling? I will take a look a bit later tonight to take pics of the coins. I may be wrong with my previous statement that the doubling is different. It has been a while since I looked at them.

If its not "Hub Doubling" what would it be?

I have also found doubling on the 2012 Grey Cup Loonie (Reverse) and the 2012 Toonie (Obverse).

The strikes on different parts of the coin are so different, and you certainly piqued my interest even more, so I found a site that gave very defined comparisons of what you were both speaking of. From what I saw, the Rounded Double Letters Like the L are true Doubled Dies, while the flat looking ones like the queen's face are Mechanical from the die shifting a little . Is it possible that this coin has both a Doubled Die that shifted and created the Mechanical Die Shifts? I thank all of you for your help and thoughts, it really helps.
