Instead of doing the rounds with the auction houses I have started to advertise and go the peoples houses to buy coins. I have just bought three British coins but decided to give each its own thread.

I don't think the double florin is very valuable but nice to have.

Beautiful coin. I have a couple I bought on E-Bay, but I think both have been cleaned. I wondering if it was not common practice for collectors to polish these in years past as many of my British coins have hairlines.
