This was the most valuable coin I bought tonight and is probably a solid VF....not sure how this would slab on the Sheldon scale....PCGS/NGC.

Coin under the light......and something looks odd about the C in Victoria.

Yes, a solid VG I think, too. A very locely coin. Congratulations..
I have no idea about the Sheldon system though..
The "C" looks like double struck, can I be correct?

Thanks.....nearly had heart attack.....I overpaid anyway and bought it as an EF for £200....I just started seeing what I wanted to see for some reason...fixed the problem by seller throwing in the two other coins for free...the 1695 Crown and the 1887 Double Florin. See other posts. Popped it on e-bay to test the waters and appears little interest which I am surprised about.

An EF for £200 should have made you question the grade given this is only marginally above the current Spink VF price. nVF for my money, so still overpaid, but not to the extent you might have thought.

It is a nice honest collectable coin but NVF is generous I would say GF and a smidge. The hair is far too worn for VF.
CCGB 2014 F =£40 VF =£100 These are retail prices so I would want to pay less.

I kind of did triage after the deal on the 1845 half crown.....only paid the same seller £20 for the nice double florin 1887, got the 1697 Crown for free and just got an 1845 Crown in Fine for £40.......not the best way to engage in such business but I did well in the end.
