Joeturbo--your first SD looks proof, the other MS?
Did you cherry-pick those or buy them attributed?
I'm trying to put a value on the SD proof--does anyone know the "street price"? Thanks!

DV, its a long story! When I was looking for the 70s and its proof as well, for some reason, my eye just could NOT discern the differences in the SD vs LD, I must have gone through 100.00 dollars worth of loose 1970s pennies haha, just ask Raymo!

Ultimately I didn't find one!

The MS one, I purchased as a "1970s Small date", it isn't graded, but all those scratches you see are on the dansco plastic, its a real great coin :) I honestly don't remember what I paid, but I remember where I bought it, and they always give me fair, if not "below fair prices".

As for the proof, this one I believe, I cherry picked during a business trip, I had found a coin store, the place was a real mess, the owner was a literal hoarder.. I was stepping over boxes and boxes of random things, and I literally dug my way to a box of proof sets. I think I paid five bucks for the proof set.. again I really don't remember, but five bucks sounds right to me.

As for "street price", I will tell you this. It is SUPER SUPER hard to find a 70s small date proof graded in great condition, and many people sell them on ebay way over value. WAY OVER VALUE!

Otherwise, a good condition one should run you 65-100 if you buy a small date proof set.

I can see that--the same goes for mint sets. I don't think either of these proof SDs are perfect, but I should make some money selling one.

Joe was always posting large dates and asking if they were small dates. I got to calling the ld's JoeTurbo's...

I searched cent rolls for like 10+ years without any luck. I was always mistaking large dates, until I finally found the real thing.
