I was at a coin show today, and things were uneventful, so I started looking through 1998 and 1999 proof sets for the LMC Close AM.
No luck there, so I started looking at 70 mint sets for small dates. But no luck with the mint sets. Then I saw two '70 proof sets and thought "it can't hurt to check"

I took a close look at the first one, and did a double take: "No...that can't be right...really?" Here's the date.

Then I opened up the second proof set and looked. Another double-take,
thinking "No way--the odds would be against me!" Here's the second proof 70-S.

(Bad shots--most of the marks on the case)

Somehow, I managed to find 2 small date proofs--in one day!
