Hi, it's quite possible that this has been addressed before, but is there any easy way to tell whether you have a high or low variety?

on the high 7 it is the last 7 which is higher than its neighbor and it is quite obvious. the low 7 they are the same height. check out the below thread.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I had actually seen this thread. I still have trouble seeing the difference when examining the coins, so was wondering if there were any other more "obvious" indicators on the reverse die. Maybe it's just an issue with my eyes, lol!

Islander2010..You might want to look at it this way...the distance from the "A" to the "7"'s is equal on a low "7"...see my picture below...On a high "7" you will notice the difference in distance form the "A".
