what is doing on with the 6 in the date? seems to be a die break but its so uniform I am confused

The die had chips on the "6". The reason they made the large date this year was that the design of the small date suffered many die chips. I've found EDS coins that had die chips on them in different locations.

The mint mark is a RPM. But it maybe unlisted. It is hard to find matches for some examples of tilted mint marks. I've got rolls of unlisted ones I'm still waiting to identify.

Thanks coop!! Much appreciated and great explanation!! I wasnt far off and figured it was a RpM thats why I included thought maybe that would help COOP- there it is!!
