In looking through rolls from bank, I notice that a few State Quarters have an off color goldish greenish cast, and some others have a flat gray cast. These are coins without hardly any wear. What causes this, and are they sought by collectors?

Dirty, DIRTY Money...
Gold/Green-Tone/Flat-Gray-Tone-State-Quarters

The quarter on the far left that is cut off is the flat gray you referred to. Half the time the bank will not take them back so if anyone wants them for huge sums of cash I'd be willing to let them go. I looked into returning damaged coins to the mint but it is not worth it, 10 pound bag, you pay postage and you only get approximate face value returned to you. I figure the only way to make money out of useless dirty, dented, dinged, dingy, nasty coins is some sort of art work.

So my question would be Elmer's School glue, or hot glue gun?

Enviormental toning happens. The dime looks like it was found outdoors. Some painted and some green patina. Some may have been magic markered. All spendable from what I can see.

Yeah I could spend them but half the time the bank will not take them from me so that would be half cheating the store I spend them at. I'm not artistic but I still think I can make a better profit margin from art-work, we shall see.

Or you could use them in a self checkout when you are paying for your purchase. They will take change first. I find that a good way to get rid of change that way. Coins, then pay the rest with you debit card.

I don't use self check out, aside from putting people out of work the store is making YOU do all the work, and I don't have a debit card. When the cashier has a problem I can laugh and joke with them as they fix it, if I have a problem with an automated check out system... well lets just say I have no problem throwing computers across the room when they upset me, and it is a touch screen not a punch screen The Walmart I use just put in self check outs in place of the fast lanes, I refuse to use them, I go to the other end of the check out's to where they moved the fast lanes and get served in seconds, because no one seems to know about them.

Edit: Plus I'm lucky enough to have several banks with change machines that they don't charge for, but like I said sometimes they will not take certain coins. Most times I just try the next bank and they will take it. But I have some creative ideas to use them for.

I walked into a bank with $100 of nickels, they were all 2013 so I wanted to dump them... they said it would be a while because they had to open every roll and send it through their change machine. When I get a roll from a bank I'm supposed to trust that it is actually $2 but if I bring that same roll back in they don't trust me, even if it is bank rolled.

Edit: but no charge to use the machine, so it's not a problem most days.

You need a different bank. I've never had that happen to me, and if it did, I'd never use them again.

I'm confused... there is nothing wrong with the coins in the pic (well, so far as to make them not spendable). Corroded zincs and bent clad maybe, but those are 100% fine to spend and deposit. Who ever told you that has their facts very wrong.

Fact - on occasion I have had tellers return coins and refuse to take them.

Then you'd not be using any banks in my area, they all do it the same way.
