What would you do if you found this? It is a 100% Authentic US Quarter? Edited by Jayman931 01/23/2014 03:09 am

Certainly a cool find. Be fun to see the look on people's faces if you tried to pass that as a quarter in commerce.

I didn't find this quarter. It was on a website I subscribe to. In the second post down I posted a link on how they did it...I thought it was neat.

We have shrunk dollar bills with anhydrous ammonia. The smallest was about 5inx1.75in.

You can also shrink coins with electrical current, although I forget the exact process.

It may well be the Mints way of saying this is all it is now worth.

That's what happened in this case; the process is noted in Jayman931's link.

I think it's a Dryer Coin. I have a sweater that did the same thing. It's so small now I gave it to my son.

Haha StJoeBlues, I did the same thing to a $100 Smartwool sweater of my wife's! It's now my 6 years old's favorite sweater...
Those electro shrunk coins are such a trip!
