The pic may not show it fully but that spot at 10 o'clock is green. My hunch is it is and will require conserving.

i would say yes it is if its green in color. Strange it would happen to what looks like an MS state red color coin.

Looks more like carbon spots to me. Could be corrosion, hard to tell.

Yes Jerry this is a red coin, ms-64 and in an old Anacs holder. Now it's out and soaking in a well-known conservation product. Liking what I see so far...

Well here is the coin after being treated for a couple hrs with Verdi-Care. Seems the spot is gone to the naked eye. That isn't a scratch on the left side but rather a mark on the holder it's in.

Verdi-Care is about the only product I would use on a coin I own. It looks like it did what it was designed to do!  Good luck with the TPG!
