A little to much wear for AU. a very nice EF example.

Thanks, I thought the reverse looked good enough to be AU. And the obverse showed just enough curl around the ear to make it. But does have scratches on obverse

Looks like this quarter easily makes choice EF.

The mintmark looks good to me but I'd point out that added mintmark alterations are very common for this date, even for low-grade examples. If this were my coin I'd consider sending it to ANACS to confirm authenticity. If it's OK you can always crack it out to place in an album if that is your preference.
