Fresh from my wife's mint. She molded regular and white chocolate coins covered with gold and silver dust. Sorry for the post on the main forum, but wanted to show off the goods

That brings back memories of when they used to sell chocolet coins wraped in some kind of foil. Sure wish I kept some.

OK, I figured it might get moved. I wasn't sure where to put it so I'm glad it's correct now.

just carl, they still sell the foil wrapped chocolate coins. When you have a 6 yo kid you find out about all these things. We have some. As a matter of fact I was just instructed two days ago NOT to eat my kid's foil coins or I'd be in big trouble.

These coins need careful preservation.

Make sure they are in good quality flips made from clear crystal sugar. This material is sometimes used in movies to make fake glass window panes. Use non PVC album (or is that albumin?) pages, to keep the flips in.
Remember, the albumin pages ARE edible as well, so be careful, you have to spit out the staples from the flips!

Thanks for all the compliments. I'll be sure to pass them along.

She gave me one to take to work. It was gone in about 2 seconds.
