From other posts I've seen the American Silver Eagle and Silver Maple Leaf are not worth much more than bullion prices. Those posts are older and I was wondering if anything had changed. Is there any numismatic value in them, are any dates more desirable.

For ASE, the anniversary date or special dates (1996 or 2000) might have a small premium above bullion price.

For the bullion version of ASEs the 1996 is the lowest mintage which carries a premium making it the bullion key date, and I believe 09 had a premium at one time since it was the only version made that year. Theres 30 million of the 09 though so if they start getting dumped that premium should disappear if it hasnt already.

The uncirculated W and proofs all have a premium as do the special issue ones.
