Reverse stain is on older PCGS holder
Gun metal bluish center works out to more greenish olive tones
Very lustrous for the grade
Choice and original surfaces, should go to CAC for a look

What say you oh brethren of all things Liberty and Seated?

Very nice coin, "The little Orphan Annie coin" I was just reading a good article on 1844 dimes the other day, found the link in my browser history;
http://www.numismaster.com/ta/numis...ticleId=2712

I'd guess this one graded VF30 it appears to be a weaker strike than wear. If this one makes it into an EF40 holder it's a R5+ coin!

hmm...I am more at F-15. The reverse just doesn't have enough detail for VF imho.

How's this for color though? Might need CAC submission for the grade

Even at VF20 it's a beauty, I know a lot of the 1844 dimes were struck rather poorly so that is why I upped my grade, in most any other date, it's a VF20/25. Sweet coin!

I generally leave these be, dsfreeworld, because they're such a difficult issue for me to grade accurately.

On a humorous note, as somebody who's been into cars and such all my life, I find myself constantly asking who this person is, listing Limited-Slip Differential coins for us to grade.

West, I certainly enjoyed your first guess! VF30, I'll take it.

Dave, this one has the optional color tinted windows with the 350CC 6-speed shifter <I know nothing about cars and yet I sold them for the first 9 years of my professional career!)

thanks for the comments from all. More to come....
