Looking at this on ebay. I asked him if it had been cleaned and he said maybe at one time. I'm thinking it doesn't look like it, what do you guys think. Also what grade?

Looks like it might have been dipped, but not too bad. Just looks a bit bright, but still lots of luster/ I would grade AU-58 possible FH.

I'm in @ mid AU. Probably dipped at one time, but still showing luster from what I can tell.

Is that a rim hit @ 1:00 on the obverse?

He said it's not a rim hit, but flash from camera.

Tough to see true surfaces through Mylar like that
It could go either way from those pics as to whether or not there's luster in tact or if it dulled down from a dip
Why don't you buy an already stabbed one and crack it out, there must be plenty to choose from on the market that are AU53 to MS62

Walk away.

"Maybe at one time" means "THIS THING IS SO PULVERIZED IT TOOK ME THREE SOLID DAYS OF PHOTOSHOP TO MAKE IT RESEMBLE A COIN AGAIN." No single set of images can conclusively address the issue of whether or not a coin has been cleaned; in most cases you can't do that with multiple sets under differing lighting.

There are, literally, thousands of these in slabs in this grade range. This isn't the one to go home with you.
