What are the wrinkly lines? Is that a worn die or ?

It is called die flow. You find this on dies that are in the LDS/VLDS die states. Very close to retirement. I guess we also get wrinkles as we get old.

Thanks for the comments.. here's a couple more pic's I'm playing with my camera and some of coops lighting tricks but I can see it will take a lot of practice.
No tripod either

I don't use a tripod. I hold the camera when I take images. The reason you are getting light at the top and dark at the bottom is that the angle of the coin needs a little adjusting. If you are using a ramp, then place a coin under the back of the ramp to raise if a bit more. I use A half dollar or a quarter at times to get the light evenly across the coin.
