Hypotheical....let's say I have a coin that ANACS gave a details grade, and I want to resubmit it to PCGS hopefully for a clear grade. Should I remove it from the holder first? My thought is that I don't want to influence the new grader in any way, and seeing just the raw coin would make them come to their own conclusion. Thoughts? Thanks. Ed

I would sent it in raw. Could you post a pic of the coin in question?

Raw is best for situations like that. The only reason for a cross over would be a high value coin or a coins thats just over a large price jump that getting a grade lower would cost you a lot of money you arent willing to risk

Thanks. Like I said, just a hypothetical at this point. Just starting to see a few coins here and there that I might like to resubmit. Appreciate the responses. ed

I agree with sending raw but I also think it would be a good idea to post pictures here before sending in. Unless you're really confident in your grading skills might as well get others opinions before you spend a bunch of money on shipping there / grading / shipping back, not to mention the insurance to ship both ways.
