I am a collector living in the U.S.A. Once in a while I come across
Canadian notes, some $1.00 and $2.00.

This may have been asked before, since the bills were pulled, do they have any premium ... Over face.

Also ... Is it legal to send Canadian coins to Canada, I had problems with sending to some other countries. I may have the opportunity to buy coins
at less than face value. I wad thinking I could use them to buy collect able cons from Canada.

Sorry if it sounds like stupid question ....

Not a stupid question at all. Firstly, you are going to have a really tough time getting over face for $1 and $2 notes in circulated condition, unless of course they are older (pre 1955). Secondly, you shouldn't have any problems sending us back our coins and I am not aware of any law that would prevent you from doing so.

I say also that no real premium over face for 1973 $1.(Green/yellow queen), or the redish/brown 1986-$2.oo ,,, I have bought Gems for 1.10 and 2.06 ......BUT If an Asterick note *F/G765643...example ,,,,then would get a price even if only in Fine condition...The 1986 $2.oo would need to say be X for third letter at bottom of bill.

I agree ... Buying below face is good ... If I can spend it somehow ... That is why I can buy
below face ... Here in Florida it is hard to spend ....

Right now, with the exchange rate, you shouldn't pay more than $.90 US for a Canadian dollar. (Not including collectible value, of course).

There are some coin shops that sell their canadian coinage for 80% face... and that was even when the cdn dollar was very close to par.

But if you can pick up Canadian $$ below face... DO it!!
